Since a Methodist Church was first built on our site in Lower Blandford Road in 1890, our mission has been "As part of the worldwide Christian Church, to preach the Christian message, provide facilities for Christian worship, and to serve the needs of the Community."

To better equip us to fulfil this mission into the 21st century, our premises were demolished and the new building opened in December 2003. At its heart is the Sanctuary – our place of worship. The Paul Mears Quiet Room is set aside for prayer, contemplation and conversations in confidence. Our coffee lounge, meeting rooms and hall are in daily use by church groups and local organisations.

Everyone is welcome at our services on Sunday mornings/evenings and at our informal Cafe Church, Messy Church and Friday Shoppers' Services. We also have Bible study, prayer groups, a choral group, badminton, and an active Children & Families Ministry. Senior members of the community make friends in the Coffee Lounge and at Thursday Network and Knit & Natter. Those with memory loss, and their carers, are welcomed at Stepping Stones.
