Reverend Karen James

I am Co-Superintendent and have pastoral charge of Wool, Swanage and Broadstone Churches.

Though originally from Essex, I lived in Sheffield for many years before coming to Poole Bay (via training college in Birmingham). The majority of that time I was in teaching, but I have held a variety of jobs. These provided many opportunities to be with and work alongside different people from all sorts of backgrounds, which in turn made me increasingly aware of the importance of sharing faith from a place of authenticity.

I enjoy reading, drawing (particularly with pastels) and accompanying my dog on walks. And I am still amazed by the fact that I get to travel around and experience the wonderful and varied landscapes and spaces that this part of the country has to offer.
