Vacancy for a Café Assistant

Bournemouth Methodists are seeking to recruit a Café Assistant to join our growing team of wonderful staff and volunteers who run the Welcome Inn Café.

The Welcome Inn at Bournemouth Methodist Church @ Victoria Park,
Jameson Road | Bournemouth | BH9 2QG

The work will be to assist with the manager and other team members in running the café and promoting an inclusive ethos in accordance with the objectives of the Bournemouth Methodist Church.

We are looking for someone who:-Is fully understanding and supportive of the Christian objectives of the café

• Is a confident and effective communicator with customers and staff
• Has a passion for welcoming all into the café
• Has experience in providing good customer care
• Has experience in working in a catering environment.

Hours:
30 hours per week, 8.30am – 4.30pm Tuesday to Friday
or
32 hours job share – Tuesday to Friday

16 hours per week 8.30am – 12.30pm and 16 hours per week 12.30pm – 4.30pm
Alternative job sharing hours would also be considered
(Mondays & Saturdays may be considered in the future)

Salary:
Real Living Wage – currently £12 per hour (Real Living Wage)
