Fundraising Fun and a Tropical Celebration for God Squad

Over the past few weeks, God Squad has been full of energy and activity.

During April and May, the group organised a Donkey-Naming Competition and a Sweet Stall to help raise funds for future God Squad activities. The young people took the lead in running these events within their own churches across Bournemouth, Upton and Poole. A huge thank you to everyone who supported them so generously.

After all their hard work, it was time to relax and celebrate together with a fun-filled Tiki Party! The evening included a colourful Mocktail Bar, plenty of dancing, and lots of laughter. Hawaiian shirts and tropical outfits were strongly encouraged, adding to the lively party atmosphere.

If you have a young person who would like to get involved in our Circuit Youth Group, we’d love to welcome them along to our next gathering.

The Circuit Youth group, GOD SQUAD, continues to meet at the Spire on alternate Sunday evenings in term-time and attendance averages 8-10. Snooker, table tennis, table football as well as chess and board games are popular pursuits. we also regularly undertake art and craft projects.

At each meeting we also spend some focussed time considering Christian themes or teaching. Sometimes we lead these sessions "in-house", but also welcome visitors to lead our "God Slot".

The group meet fortnightly on Sundays in term-time, 6:00-7:30pm at The Spire, Poole in Hall 1.

Upcoming meeting dates for 2026 are as follows:

• 21st June
• 5th July

If you have any children 11-18 or about to turn 11 in your churches, do get in touch – they would be very welcome to join God Squad.
