Although we didn’t quite manage to share this before Easter, we didn’t want to miss celebrating the fantastic work created by our God Squad group at the end of the spring term.
In their final session of the spring term, the group came together to create a vibrant Easter display, now showcased on the Inspire Wall in Wesley’s Café at The Spire. The display is a wonderful blend of art and reflection, featuring not only colourful artwork but also thoughtful poetry.
Look closely and you’ll spot haiku poems written on the leaves within the display. Not familiar with haiku? It’s a simple and expressive form of poetry—and the display itself offers a great introduction, explaining more about how it works.
It’s well worth taking a moment to visit Wesley’s Café, enjoy a drink or a meal, and spend some time exploring the creativity and insight of our young people. Their work offers a fresh and meaningful perspective on the Easter story.
To round off the session, the group shared hot cross buns and Easter eggs together—a fitting and joyful end to a term full of creativity and community.
If you have a young person who would like to get involved in our Circuit Youth Group, we’d love to welcome them along to our next gathering.
At each meeting we also spend some focussed time considering Christian themes or teaching. Sometimes we lead these sessions "in-house", but also welcome visitors to lead our "God Slot".
The group meet fortnightly on Sundays in term-time, 6:00-7:30pm at The Spire, Poole in Hall 1.
Upcoming meeting dates for 2026 are as follows:
If you have any children 11-18 or about to turn 11 in your churches, do get in touch – they would be very welcome to join God Squad.
