Young people from our Circuit’s God Squad youth group enjoyed an inspiring and activity-filled day at the District Youth Day held on 22 February at Bemerton Methodist Church.
The day began with some lively ice-breaker games, helping everyone get to know one another and build a sense of community. One of the highlights for the young people was the opportunity to put their questions directly to the President of the Methodist Conference and the Youth President, creating an engaging and thought-provoking discussion.
After a well-earned pizza lunch, the afternoon was spent taking part in a range of creative workshops. These sessions focused on craft, drama, and creating short videos, allowing the young people to express their ideas and talents in different ways.
The theme for the day was “Being Influencers.” Through discussions and activities, participants explored how they can positively influence others in their schools, communities, and churches, and how faith can guide the way they live and interact with those around them.
It was a fantastic day filled with energy, creativity, and meaningful conversations—and a good time was had by all who attended.
