A Warm Update on Wool Methodists Coffee Morning

Sharing a lovely write-up from Robert Renton, a member of Wool Methodist Church, reflecting on their recent coffee morning.

It gives me great pleasure to write a few lines about our first “ Coffee Morning” at Wool
Methodist Church, for a long awaited period which was over two years since we last had an
event for the Church.

On Friday afternoon about six of the regulars set the place up with tables, chairs plus
decorations on the tables themselves.

The big day in Saturday itself at 10:00am we were already to go and make this a successful
event.

The two ladies, Linda and Janet, were responsible for pouring coffee and serving cakes and
mince pies to the regulars of the church, and other people from the village itself.

My responsibility was making sure everybody had a seat to sit down on and enjoy their
refreshments which went down very well.

At 12:00pm we started clearing up by putting the tables away and the church back to
normal for the church service on the Sunday morning.

My last word, it was a successful morning we had, and hope to go from strength to strength
in the future.
