Loving God, following Jesus, serving community.
At Poole Methodists we relish the central location of our building at the heart of the High Street in Poole. We meet at The Spire, originally an imposing Victorian church building (with a spire – hence the name). After coming to the end of a very significant redevelopment project in 2019, which changed the configuration of the original church and added community halls and office space on two levels, as a congregation we are enjoying "being church" in a new way. We see our redeveloped premises as a community building with a church at its heart and seek opportunities to serve the community in various creative ways.
Poole Methodists Mission Statement:
Our calling is to worship and serve God in the power of the Holy Spirit, and to invite people to lead lives inspired by Jesus Christ through our acts of worship, service, care, social action
We are pleased to offer daily worship:
SUNDAY SERVICES in The Rose Hall
10:30am Sunday morning worship service which caters for all ages and includes Sunday Explorers for young people and a crèche
WEEKDAY WORSHIP in The Chapel
1pm Monday – Saturday 'Together at One'. A varied pattern of 20 minutes of guided Christian worship. Session leaders are drawn from various different Christian denominations. All are welcome!
We have a busy and vibrant building, through which more than 20 of our local partners deliver activities for the benefit of the community. These range from healthcare services to children's activities, and support for those with learning difficulties.
Wesley's is our popular and friendly community cafe, open Monday-Saturday, welcoming regulars and visitors alike. It is staffed by a combination of paid staff and volunteers – some of the latter require extra support in the work place and are an integral part of The Spire family.
