Broadstone Methodist Church

There have been Christians worshipping at Swanage Methodist Church since before 1774 when John Wesley visited Swanage. Today, our worship is varied in format and enriched by the participation of members of the church, using readings, drama, and meditation on occasion, as well as the more traditional forms of worship. The music group and church arts group also enhance our worship.

Our buildings are used by the community for concerts and meetings, and during the school holidays they are in demand for visiting camping youth groups to use. Being in a holiday resort means that we often welcome visitors to our Sunday morning services, especially during the summer months.

Home-groups and prayer meetings take place during the week and, while many of the youth and children's activities are run jointly with the other Swanage churches, we also have a thriving toddler group and Messy Church.

Our vision is to demonstrate to the people of Swanage, and beyond, the love of God we see reflected in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, in order to bring about lasting spiritual and social transformation.
